The calls a control room should make but does not
Every fleet has a list of calls that would be worth making and never get made, because there are more vehicles than there are people to dial them.
A vehicle that has gone quiet on tracking. A permit expiring in nine days. A harsh-braking event that happened twenty minutes ago while the driver is still on the road. A consignment whose paperwork has not come back. A vehicle stationary at a gate for four hours with nobody recording why.
Each one is a phone call that takes two minutes and changes an outcome. None of them happen at forty vehicles, because the dispatcher is handling the three that are already on fire.
That backlog is what a voice agent is for. Not replacing the control room, but making the calls it was never going to get to.
