Trip management software
Plan, monitor, and analyse fleet trips with vehicles, drivers, waypoints, documents, exception handling, and delivery records.
- 01
Create and assign
Choose the vehicle and verified driver, add route and timing details, and attach the documents needed for dispatch. The trip begins in Planned status.
- 02
Monitor and respond
Use the active-trip map and timeline to review progress. Message the driver, record an exception, or revise the expected arrival as the situation changes.
- 03
Complete and analyse
Complete the trip, review delivery evidence, and export the journey analysis. Use recurring stop and delay patterns to improve the next dispatch.
Quick answer
What is MoboSafe Trip Management?
MoboSafe trip management connects a vehicle, driver, route, schedule, and consignment parties in a single trip record. Dispatchers can follow active trips, review timeline events, manage exceptions, attach documents, and analyse completed journeys. Electronic proof of delivery adds signatures, photos, and delivery timestamps to the close-out process.
Capabilities at a glance
Manage the journey, stops and exceptions.
Dispatch planning and live tracking often happen in separate conversations. A shared trip record gives the dispatcher a planned route and arrival time, gives the driver the assignment and documents, and gives the operations team a chronological view of what actually happened.
Plan the movement
Select an available vehicle and driver, define origin and destination, add ordered waypoints, and set departure and arrival dates. Link consignors, consignees, and transporters.
Manage exceptions
Record breakdowns, accidents, delays, route deviations, and load issues. Update the expected arrival and keep relevant remarks in the trip timeline.
Review the journey
Compare planned and actual routes, stops, distance, duration, speed events, and idling. Fuel metrics are available when the relevant tracking is enabled.
Keep the history
Import historical trip records with vehicle and driver references. Uploaded history is a record of a past trip; it does not recreate missing GPS positions.

Trip analysis and delivery records.
- Planned and actual route comparison
- Stop and speed-event analysis
- Trip PDF and Excel exports
- Linked ePOD and trip documents
Evaluate your dispatch-to-delivery workflow.
- Choose this for journey execution
- Use the trip record to manage assignment, ordered waypoints, status and exceptions. Loading sheets prepare the consignment before departure; linked ePOD records hold delivery evidence. GPS tracking supplies the location history used to review the journey.
- Test changes while a trip is active
- Walk through a delayed arrival or changed waypoint with a dispatcher, then review the completed record and export. Dates, waypoints, remarks and documents can be updated on active trips; vehicle and driver changes may be restricted. Completion and cancellation make the trip read-only.
Live trip visibility needs a configured tracking source and a valid vehicle assignment. Historical imports need matching vehicle and driver records. Agree on exception responsibilities and trip-completion rules before onboarding dispatchers.
Module access, vehicle and storage limits, hardware, and supported integrations depend on your subscription and configuration. Scope your quote around the required workflows, including any third-party charges.

Can I change a trip after it starts?
Active trips support changes to dates, waypoints, remarks, and documents. Vehicle and driver fields may be restricted. Completed and cancelled trips are read-only in the documented workflow.
Can a trip have several delivery stops?
Yes. Add intermediate waypoints during trip creation and order them to match the planned movement. The trip timeline records waypoint arrivals and other journey events.
How do delivery evidence and route analysis relate to a trip?
Electronic proof of delivery adds linked signatures, photos and delivery timestamps to the trip close-out process. Planned-versus-actual route and stop analysis uses recorded tracking data. Importing a past trip adds its record, but does not recreate GPS positions that were never captured.
