Under the Motor Vehicles Act 2019, riding without a helmet carries a fine of ₹1,000 and can lead to a 3-month suspension of your driving licence.

What is the penalty for drunk driving?

Drunk driving attracts a fine of ₹10,000 and/or up to 6 months imprisonment for a first offence; a repeat offence is ₹15,000 and/or up to 2 years imprisonment.
