mParivahan App: Digital RC, Licence & Vehicle Details on Your Phone
mParivahan is the official mobile app from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. It puts your vehicle registration certificate and driving licence on your phone and lets you look up basic details for any vehicle.

What mParivahan can do

How to add your digital RC and licence
1. Install mParivahan from the official app store listing and sign in with your mobile number.
2. Use the Virtual RC option and enter your registration number to link the vehicle.
3. Use the Virtual DL option and enter your driving licence number to link the licence.
The details are pulled from the Vahan and Sarathi databases, so they must match your official records.
Is the digital RC and DL legally valid?
Yes. Under the Motor Vehicles rules, a digital RC and licence shown through mParivahan or DigiLocker are treated the same as the physical documents during a check.
You are not required to carry the paper copy if the digital version is available on the app.
